Honest limits
- Germany without hail size The German Weather Service hail flag says “hail possible” or “large hail possible”, but gives no millimetres.
- Switzerland from April to September Swiss hail radar: 1 April to 30 September. Outside this season, this source provides no current hail estimates. Germany (DWD) and the US radar feed are not affected.
- Arrival hint without guarantee It only appears when the track is heading for your base and is stable enough. Cells turn, collapse or form anew.
- No damage confirmation on site Radar is an indication, not proof. Only an inspection on site shows whether something is damaged.
- Coverage Germany, Switzerland with border areas and the contiguous United States. Alerts start at class 2, from 0.8 in (20 mm).
